Educating the Soul: Spiritual Healing and our Eternal Psychology™

About the Author: Eric Thorton 

When Eric Thorton was forty years old, he took a giant leap of faith to follow his calling into a life unlike any he had known.  He could no longer deny the unusual phenomena being accomplished through him. People around him were experiencing unexplainable changes and healing. Finally Eric admitted what he had tried to deny since childhood: Healing was occurring at his hands.

Eric found he had the gifts of healing: faith, innocence, clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and command.  He has identified the use of absolute guidance for the physical and mental wellbeing of individuals, a discipline he calls Eternal Psychology™. With friends and other healing professionals who helped him compensate for his dyslexia, Eric has authored his first book, Educating the Soul: Spiritual Healing and our Eternal Psychology™.

Eric Thorton grew up in Washington State and attended an accelerated three-year Catholic high school, graduating on the honor roll. He then struggled for two years at the university where his undiagnosed dyslexia took its toll. Despite reading and writing difficulties, Eric discovered early on that he had excellent mechanical abilities. By age ten he was the neighborhood repairman. When he was twelve he remodeled his mother’s kitchen. Between the ages of eighteen and twenty he managed a specimen tree farm for relatives. All along, though, he was experiencing unusual phenomena that he now knows were unique to him.

At the age of twenty-nine Eric was married to the love of his life and was soon the happy father of two boys and a girl. After seventeen years of marriage, he claims his partner and their children as his grounding, his reason to live. “They have taught me so much about the circle of life and the joys of being a good parent and partner.”

Eric’s mechanical brilliance eventually allowed him to start a handyman/remodel business that he would successfully maintain and enjoy for twenty years. While studying for an inspector's license and remodeling old homes, Eric founded his own home inspection firm. A few years later, when his dyslexia again precluded his successful test-taking, Eric recognized his true calling and saw that it had little to do with building or inspecting structures.

Now Eric devotes his energies, full-time, to the question of why human beings often fail to heal, and how they can learn to do so. Moving from a spiritual perspective, he is led to a clear vision of the patient’s physical life, identifying what the patient needs to release pain and illness and begin to recover. As he works, Eric “educates the soul” currently in his care, acting as a medium for the physical and emotional energy required for healing that can be permanent. In this way he has helped thousands rid themselves of physical habits, addictions, illnesses and pain.

Working like a human magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine, Eric sees into the human body. After viewing the patient’s elemental energy, much as a psychic might do, he is led by the patient’s spirit guide to that individual’s sacred energy, the part as unique as a person’s fingerprints. He is shown past experiences pertinent to the healing process and sometimes is used as a medium to bridge the gap to an important ancestor. He feels privileged to be part of such a wonderful process.

Today, with his first book complete, Eric is mentoring healing practitioners in the discovery and application of their own gifts. And he has begun a second book in the “Educating the Soul” series: The Effects of Trauma, exploring human cycles of behavior and their resistance to recovery.

As powerful and life-altering as his healing work is, Eric constantly reminds anyone who will listen that he is not gifted in a unique way, but simply able to access the same inner gifts of spirit that are the birthright of every human being.
