Volterra features the Tuscan inspired cuisine of Chef Don Curtiss utilizing the bountiful harvest of the Pacific Northwest. Rachael Ray named Volterra "one of my favorite restaurants on the planet," and it has received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence from 2006-2013.
Volterra has been awarded "Best New Restaurant" and "Best Italian Restaurant" by Seattle Magazine, "Best Chef Inspired Restaurant" by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine, and "Best New Restaurant" by 425 Magazine along with being included in Zagat's "America's Top Restaurants".
Chef Curtiss strongly believes it's important to know the source of every ingredient. He works closely with local farmers and uses only the freshest seasonal products available. Both locations feature extensive gluten free options and Chef Curtiss has been making gluten free pasta since 2005.
