About the Cause
The proceeds of the auction and raise the paddle will support the men and women who use Millionair Club Charity’s supportive employment program to stabilize their lives. During this crisis, the funds are being used to address their most immediate needs when so many have lost their jobs. Funds will subsidize rent for residents at Kasota (MCC’s affordable apartment building), provide grocery gift cards to keep food on the table, provide access to protective masks and gear, support job placements in essential jobs like sanitation and litter abatement, and more. We must act now to prevent widespread spikes in homelessness, and we must stay prepared to get people back to work once this crisis passes. Celebrity Waiters Luncheon (CelebrityWaiters.org), normally a live, zany, themed event accessible by invite only, is graciously moving to a virtual auction where all are welcome to attend to maximize relief efforts.
